    About

My work is grounded in compassionately connecting with individuals “where they are at,” whether you are navigating relationship loss, burnout, self-esteem issues, or are in search of a place that feels comfortable to share uncomfortable feelings. You don’t have to pretend to be anyone other than who you are. If you’re here, chances are you’ve spent a long time putting on a brave face — saying yes when you wanted to say no, keeping the peace while ignoring your own needs, or trying to meet everyone else’s expectations.
It’s exhausting to keep pretending you’re fine when inside you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or weighed down by old family patterns. Therapy with me is about creating a space where you don’t have to perform, hide, or edit yourself. Together, we’ll untangle the guilt, quiet the self-doubt, and help you feel lighter and more grounded in your life.
People that see me often feel overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by their past. Whether you’re navigating a big life change, struggling with self-esteem, feeling burned out, or caught in difficult relationships, you don’t have to do it alone.

In my personal life, I have had the opportunity to experience many life transitions – including career shifts, a long history of entrepreneurship within the food industry, and grief and loss, among others. This lived experience allows me to connect to your journey as an ally within our shared humanity. I am privileged to be part of your counselling journey.

    Experience

I am a registered Social Worker with The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I completed my Bachelor of Social Work with Honours at Trent University. I completed my Master of Social Work at University of Toronto with a specialization in human services and leadership. I work with individuals who are over-achievers and identify with perfectionism and self-esteem, and with people who have experienced traumatic experiences that have impacted their relationships and sense of self. I also work with couples that want to improve their intimacy and communication.

My past work includes collaborating with interdisciplinary medical teams in hospital settings to support aging populations as well as victims of gender-based violence. I have also worked within the non-profit sector, supporting people who are experiencing homelessness, trauma, and addictions, as well as providing support to family members of those who have family members who live with addictions and/or mental health diagnoses.

    Approach To Therapy

As each situation is as unique as each person arriving in therapy, I incorporate an integrated approach to counselling. These models include cultural sensitivity, cognitive behavioural therapy, internal family systems, solution focused therapy, Gottman Level 1 couples therapy, and trauma-informed mindfulness approaches.
